Debby Kimberlin

Debby is a Yellow Room Teacher and has worked at The Children’s Center since May 2011. She has an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Southern Maine Community College and is working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education at the University of Maine, Farmington. Her philosophy of teaching is based on respect among teachers, children, and families and on the idea of allowing children to explore in a safe, developmentally appropriate environment.

“Children, teachers, and families should have fun learning and playing together.”

Debby is a professional member of NAEYC and Maine Roads to Quality,
Level 6.

Away from work, she enjoys time with her family, especially her grandchild, reading, the Art Walk in Portland, and walks with her husband.

 

Brandi Emerson

Brandi Emerson

Brandi is the Afternoon Purple Room Teacher and has worked at The Children’s Center since 2013. She is currently working on her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and attended University of Maine at Orono and Southern Maine Community College. Her philosophy of teaching includes “always being creative when creating play experiences.”

Away from work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and being outdoors.

 

 

Molly Harmon

Molly is the Afternoon Yellow Room Teacher, assists with our music program and has worked at The Children’s Center since 2014. She has a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance from the University of Southern Maine.

 

Purple Room

Elleena Petersen

Ellee is a Purple Room Teacher and has worked at The Children’s Center since 2014. She has a B.S. in Sociology with a minor in Child Development Psychology. Ellie believes that children should be encouraged to explore and learn by doing. She feels that when children are comfortable with their caregivers, they more confident learners.

Away from work, Ellee enjoys going to the movies, swimming and traveling.

Tammy Michaud

Tammy Michaud

Tammy is a Purple Room Teacher and has worked at The Children’s Center since 2011. She has an Associate’s Degree in Business Management from Casco Bay College. Her philosophy of teaching includes allowing each child to grow and learn at their own pace while providing a safe and nurturing environment where each child feels secure to explore new activities.

“I shower them with love and give them my complete attention whenever they have something to say.”

Tammy is a professional member of NAEYC and Maine Roads to Quality,
Level 3.

Away from work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, and cheering all New England sports teams.

Jessica Perro

Jess is a Purple Room Teacher and has worked at The Children’s Center since 2016. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art and Photography from Maine College of Art.
